Machine Learning Engineer, Assistance Engineering

This role is on the Community Support Products Machine Learning team, which builds AI and ML systems for Airbnb's customer support experience, including LLM fine-tuning, RAG/search, evaluation automation, and feedback-based learning. The engineer will design and build AI solutions in collaboration with product, design, and engineering teams across China and the US, working on early-stage initiatives from concept to production.

• PhD or Master's degree in CS or equivalent experience; 2-4 years of ML engineering experience with ownership of large-scale software systems; experience designing and building AI/ML systems and services; experience with LLM-driven chatbots or agentic AI is a plus; fluency in both English and Mandarin required.
