Forward Deployed Engineer, India

This role sits on Notion's growing India team supporting Forward Deployed Engineers across APAC who handle customer discovery and solution architecture. The engineer will own the technical execution of complex data migrations, integrations, and automations, including feasibility assessment, implementation, testing, rollout, validation, and handoff. As a founding member of the India engineering team, they'll also build reusable tooling, standards, and playbooks for migration delivery.

• 3-6 years in backend, data, integration, or implementation engineering; strong Python skills; working knowledge of Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript; strong SQL and relational database experience; experience with REST APIs, JSON, auth, and webhooks; proven track record owning production migrations or integrations end-to-end; experience with Git, code review, testing, and deployment practices; strong debugging and analytical skills; clear English communication.
